First Galium-67, Indium-11 and Thallium-201 Radioisotopes Produced at TAEK-PAF

Copper plate after irradiation (In-111 production)

Turkey’s first domestic production of galium-67, indium-111 and thallium-201 radioisotopes and their radiopharmaceuticals were achieved at TAEK-PAF during tests in December 2011. Information for the tests is presented below:

  •  20 ml TlCl was produced with an activity of 19 mCi during the test performed in 2 December 2011 with the cyclotron operating parameters of 29 MeV proton energy and 50 μA average current.
  • 42 ml gallium citrate was produced with an activity of 14 mCi during the test performed in 7 December 2011 with the cyclotron operating parameters of 25.5 MeV proton energy and 50 μA average current.
  • 20 ml InCl3 was produced with an activity of 53 mCi during the test performed in 9 December 2011 with the cyclotron operating parameters of 26.4 MeV proton energy and 50 μA average current.
